Miss Kiki Mistry is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in female and functional urology, with a particular interest in urinary incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections.

Miss Kiki Mistry is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, specialising in female and functional urology. She has a particular interest in urinary incontinence and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), and she completed a 12-month fellowship in female, functional and neuro-urology at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Injury Unit in Salisbury. She treats patients at Urology Partners.

Female and functional urology

Female and functional urology covers problems with how the bladder stores and empties urine. Miss Mistry is a core member of the pelvic floor multidisciplinary team (MDT) and works closely with her gynaecology colleagues, so patients with complex or overlapping symptoms receive joined-up care. Conditions she assesses and treats include:

  • Urinary incontinence, including stress and urgency incontinence
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Overactive bladder and urinary frequency or urgency
  • Difficulty emptying the bladder
  • Bladder problems related to neurological conditions

Urinary incontinence is common, and it is treatable. Miss Mistry offers a full assessment to find the cause of leakage and discusses the treatment options that suit each patient. Treatment options include pelvic floor physiotherapy, bladder retraining, medication, Botox injections, nerve stimulation and surgery.

Patients who suffer repeated urinary infections often have an underlying cause that can be identified and addressed. Miss Mistry takes a thorough approach to investigating and managing recurrent UTIs, working with other healthcare professionals where needed.

Alongside her specialist interests, Miss Mistry continues to manage patients with general urological conditions.

Miss Mistry believes in a holistic approach to patient care. She listens carefully to her patients, takes time to understand their needs and works alongside a range of healthcare professionals to plan treatment.
