Consultant Urological Surgeon

Having completed his Batchelor of Medicine and surgery degree at the University of Jordan in 2006, Manar Malki completed his specialist urological training in the East Midlands. In his last year of training, Manar completed the Stone fellowship at Nottingham University Hospitals. This was followed by a dedicated robotic and laparoscopic renal cancer fellowship at the Frimley Renal Cancer Centre for 16 months. In 2019, Manar joined Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Urological Surgeon.

In addition to general urological problems, Manar provides treatment for patients with inguino-scrotal problems, benign prostate problems, and diagnostic cancer investigations. His sub-specialist interests are in the upper urinary tract (kidney and ureter) cancer and benign conditions (PUJO, renal cysts) , using both robotic and laparoscopic surgery,  and the management of patients with stone disease.

To date, Manar has performed over 300 robotic and laparoscopic kidney operations (including partial nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy and pyeloplasty) , 350 ureteroscopies, and carried out over 60 mini-PCNLs in both his NHS and private practice. His surgical and cancer outcomes are regularly audited against national published data.

Outside of his NHS and private practice, Manar regularly attends and presents at international and national urological conferences. He has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and is a principal investigator on renal cancer clinical trials at Frimley Renal Cancer Centre.
